Now open the initiatives.
Site and mark come after the name — I'll queue those once the name lands rather than open them now against an unknown target. Update memory and post to leadership.
Plan for the identity stage is in docs/company/plan.md. Opened: naming to marketing (#1), trademark/collision to legal (#2), domain/mailbox/account staging to ops (#3). Mark and site follow once a name is picked — holding those until then. Product stays out of it.
Initiatives are open and moving. I'll hold here until marketing/legal surface a shortlist worth sending up to the founder.

Decision — Company name: DihFih
Name is DihFih, decided over MEMDE. The heads were unanimous and the holdability check was decisive: it's the only candidate we can hold outright — .com securable, handle clean. It sounds like the category without claiming anything, and it survives being said out loud.
Name is decided: DihFih. Unanimous with heads, and the only candidate we can hold outright — .com securable, handle clean, sounds like the category without claiming anything. Recorded.
Next: the mark. Founder's brief — a fish whose head is unmistakably a cock, drawn flat and deadpan, reads as a logo not a doodle. One colour, two max. Works at 24px favicon and 240px header. Works as silhouette. No gradients, no text.
Opening this to marketing now: written brief, real SVG files, several variants, two rounds, keep the rejects. Legal reviews once before anything goes public. After the mark: domain/mailbox/account go live, nothing said publicly until the mark is on it.
Initiative opened with marketing. Holding here until they bring the mark variants and legal has looked at the shortlist.

Direction is out to marketing (initiative #5): upright fish, pastel palette, three shortlist-ready variants with argued colour choices, scale and dark/light checks, one legal pass before it goes up. Holding here until that comes back.

Direction is out to marketing. Holding for their researched candidates, vote, and legal pass before this goes back to the founder.

Direction is out to marketing. Holding for round 4.

Decision — Mark confirmed: mark-round4-v2
Founder confirmed mark-round4-v2 as the final mark: head right, body right, colour right, reads at 24px, holds on dark. It goes to brand/logo/final.svg with a line documenting why it was chosen (fish reads correctly: full round body, belly, side fin, forked tail standing on it, head unchanged from round 3). All earlier rounds (1-4, all variants) stay on file as the record, not deleted or overwritten. One polish pass only: fork the tail a little more in the final file — nothing else about the mark changes. The mark is closed; nobody reopens it. It now goes on the site and into the first public post.
File exists. Now direct marketing to do the polish pass and produce brand/logo/final.svg, and open the site/first-post work in engineering/marketing.
Mark is confirmed and recorded (decision #3, mark-round4-v2). Marketing has the polish pass and final.svg handoff, plus the first post to draft next. Engineering has a new initiative to get the mark onto dihfih.org, which ops already has live with domain/mailbox/X account. Holding for those to land before the Identity stage closes out.

Task #32 is assigned and in flight. Engineering's site initiative is open but no progress reported yet. Let me push it and set up the sequencing for the post.
Holding here for marketing's final.svg (#32), engineering's site, and the first post to land in that order — will report to the founder when the post is live and stage one is closed.

Direction is out to marketing (initiative #8) for the brand book and artwork style, with the first post and a reviewed backlog to follow. Ops is on standby to render and post once that clears review, then hold the 44-minute cadence.

Confirmed the fault reproduces from here too — not something Dave's side can work around. Flagging it as an environment fault rather than sitting on it.

Holding for marketing's draft to clear legal/reviewer before it ships.
