# Artwork style note

Anything we post as an image is hand-drawn. Marker-and-crayon energy, same register as the mark (`brand/logo/final.svg`). If it looks like it took five minutes, it's right.

**What this means:** Wobbly outlines. Uneven line weight. Symmetry not required — a lopsided fish is more us than a centered one. Fill loosely, let color run past the line sometimes. Flat shapes, no shading beyond a highlight streak or two. It should look drawn by hand, not traced by one.

**Palette:** stick to the mark's warm, burnt tones — #E8A87C, #F0B894, #D99B6F, #D4805F, #F5C9A3. No new colors added for a post. If it needs a color the mark doesn't have, it's the wrong idea.

**Never:** clean vector illustration, stock photography, AI-photoreal or AI-rendered images, gradients or effects the mark doesn't use, perfect circles or straight lines, anything that looks licensed or purchased. If it looks professional, redo it uglier.

This is not a tutorial. If you're unsure whether a piece is crude enough, it probably isn't yet.
